One of the things I’ve been telling people ever since I started pursuing a career in health is that healthy = skinny. I would get this question a lot since I’m a personal trainer; friends always ask for nutrition and exercise advice when you tell them you’re a trainer. I of course don’t mind helping my friends out, but I feel sometimes they don’t believe me when I tell them healthy = skinny. Somehow it’s just too simple and makes too much sense.

Strengths are qualities that come most natural to us and something we can’t readily explain to others. They are qualities that you’ve been hard-wired for since birth. Everyone has a set of strengths and most of the time we use them on a very subconscious level, because we’ve become so accustomed to them. In order to get the true benefit of your strengths, consciously knowing them and learning to build them is where true power comes from.

I’ve noticed that I’m getting a lot of traffic and feedback from my Fitness Workout Sheet post, so I’ve decided to give an update on my fitness program. I re-began a consistent workout regime two weeks ago in August and it’s been quite interesting so far. I decided I wanted to do a simple workout regime, five days a week, in the morning. So far all I’ve done is workout on a treadmill for two reasons: 1) I honestly don’t really like running outside anymore, and 2) while I’m running, I read my affirmations; I’ll talk about those later.

Financial abundance is very eluding to many people. Most think it’s about earning a certain amount of money and once they do, they are considered ‘abundant.’ With my experiences, I have found this to be an illusion far from the truth. I’ve learned that abundance comes from feeling able to earn money at any time when needed. Let me divulge a little bit more.

In life, there are times where we feel we’re torn into two halves. Let’s say you want to train to run a marathon. You have your friends who don’t run marathons and then you have your friends who do. Both groups are telling you two different things and it’s driving you crazy because you don’t know who’s right and who’s wrong, so what do you do? The easiest thing to do is look at where you want to be and compare that to where you’re friends are at. You want to run a marathon, so are you going to listen to advice from your friends who’ve never done it? That doesn’t seem like a very logical thing to do.

Ever since the early summer, I’ve been contemplating a new direction in which my life can take. I’ve never mentioned it before, I don’t think, on this blog because I wanted it to first settle so I could get used to the idea. Now that it’s fermented for a while, I’d like to share it. I have decided to pursue a career in musical theater. I’m very excited to do this because I can picture myself playing amazing parts like Rafiki in Lion King, Elphaba in Wicked and Mimi in Rent. These are awesome parts with awesome legacies and when I picture myself performing them, I get tingles.

Really quickly, before I go into the nit and gritty of this blog post, I’d like to first give a little background information. This is the short version of the story behind life. Before you were born, you came from source (God, Nirvana, etc) and you wanted to come to Earth to experience life and grow from those experiences. The Universe is governed by the Law of Attraction, where your environment matches your vibration. Since our deeper and true inner-selves is energy, we all give off a vibration and that vibration is what attracts the world around us; everything from our relationships, to our material wealth, to even our health. When you experience something you do not want, you send an intention of what you do want. Once this has happened, your true inner-being becomes that new intention and you expand and grow. Now you are at a point where there is a gap between you and you and your work now is to close this gap so you can catch up. You close this gap by mastering the Art of Allowing. (Everything said here was a combination of teaching from the Secret, Abraham-Hicks and other authors.)

Here is the sequel to the first article of our Communication series. I’d like to bring up the topic of authenticity and how it pertains to the previous article of Trust. One thing I would like to address is the authenticity as it pertains to building trust. With the advice I gave before, some think this would encourage lying and the like. One thing you have to take into consideration is how, if anything, it encourages you to be authentic. It is a motivation to walk your talk. You will eventually lose the trust you’ve built if you consistently lie. Yes there is a chance you won’t get found out in the short-term, but that doesn’t mean that in the long-term you won’t eventually be found out.

Let’s a quick break from our Communication series to talk about exercise. I’ve been working on a workout sheet for myself and some friends, since we’re going to start working out together. It’s always useful to record progress, so I decided to come up with a fitness workout sheet. I’m pretty proud of creation, because I feel it will be very helpful. I figured readers could benefit from its usage as well, so I would like to present to you the Fitness Workout Sheet.
